My New....

Poof, Tom Tom, Puff, Tim Tim, or as Amy (Butler that is) prefers to call it... My new Gum Drop Pillow. And I love it!!!

It was so fun and super easy to make, almost instant gratification in my opinion after working for so long on those quilts.

The only thing that I changed was she called for only one end topper, but I though It would look at bit more professional if I went ahead and did both ends. And I really do think that it made a difference.

My fabric choices were totally inspired by this and if it weren't for that picture, I probably never would have made one. But i'm telling you now, there will be many, many more in the future.

Finally Finished

Well... aside from the quilting and binding. But After all the time I've spent on this quilt I think I need a break from it.

Blue and orange (my favorite combination)

And the same thing but this time in pink and green.

I'm really stuck on backings, so if you have any suggestions let me know!

PS: Here is the awesome tutorial!

My Trip

So for my mom's birthday present, my dad sent the two of us on a bus tour through Italy. Bus tour? yeah, it was almost as awful as it sounds, except for the fact that it was italy! Long hours on the crowded bus led us to beautiful places such as...

Venice

Rome

Pompeii

Serento

Pisa

and Florence.

And on this whole trip I only bought Two things!!! Yay me! First is this lovely Murano glass pendant, I had to buy it because of the tree,

And second was this really fun bright plate. I'm in love with it.

And in case that bored you (I tried to keep it short) Here is the progress on my orange and blue X quilt,

And there is another color way following close behind!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

So I've had this fabric forever, just waiting for that perfect quilt pattern to appear in my mind. All the quilts I had been seeing were cute, but way to busy for my taste. So it occurred to me, just use solids!

And I love it. It's simple and cute and....

Has my favorite fabric on the back!
